Who we are
The site is published by the Public Record editors, an independent editorial project. We are not affiliated with Paul Davis, any campaign, the Democratic or Republican parties, any political committee, or any of Davis's lobbying clients. Nobody has paid us to publish anything here, and the site carries no ads.
Why this domain
davisforkansas.com was the campaign address for Davis's 2014 run for governor and his 2018 run for Congress. After the campaigns ended the domain lapsed and changed hands. Rather than let old links break, or let the address be used for spam, it now hosts a sourced record of the career those campaigns were about. The domain's history is stated in the footer of every page.
Where old campaign links lead
Old addresses for volunteering, donating, events, invitations, petitions, surveys and the campaign store come here. None of those functions exist on this site, and we will not recreate them. Old issue pages and news posts lead to neutral position pages and archive notes.
Our standards
- Sourced. Every factual statement traces to a public source listed on the page and on the sources page. If we could not verify something, we leave it out or say it is unverified.
- Evenhanded. We report favorable and unfavorable coverage alike, attribute claims to whoever made them, and give opponents' arguments next to Davis's own. We don't tell you what to conclude.
- No campaign material. We do not reproduce campaign text, logos, slogans, photos or videos. Quotations are a phrase or a sentence, credited.
- No family coverage. Relatives who are not public officials are not named or pictured. There are no photos of Davis on the site; the graphics and charts are our own.
- Dated. The current-status box says when it was last checked. Facts were last checked on November 8, 2026.
- Correctable. See corrections.
Common questions
Who runs this site?
A small independent editorial team, the Public Record editors. We have no connection to Paul Davis, to any campaign, party or committee, or to any organization he represents.
Why does an old campaign link bring me here?
This domain was used by Davis's campaigns in 2013-2014 and 2017-2018. It later changed hands. Old addresses now lead to neutral archive notes or to the closest page here, so links in old news stories still go somewhere useful.
I was looking for the volunteer or donation page.
Those pages are not recreated. This archive does not collect volunteers, donations, RSVPs or petition signatures for anyone. Paul Davis is not a candidate in 2026, as far as we could find.
